OxiLite is an Oxigraph-compatible RDF database on SQLite with time-travel, Datalog reasoning and OpenCypher, with the caveat of a young, single-author project.

OxiLite is an Oxigraph-compatible RDF database and SPARQL engine that stores everything in SQLite. What GraphQLite is for LPG, OxiLite is for RDF. Or see it as a lightweight version of oxigraph.
Framing it as just an triple store is actually not right, this little great thing also has:
- optional time-travel (commint, version, immutable timestamped changes)
- datalog reasoning (RDFS, OWL2RL, SHACL, whatnot)
- a VSCode plugin, OxiLite Studio worth a post on its own
- OpenCypher query over the same data (OWL and SHACL aware)
Like most projects of this kind, it’s Rust based and hence speedy.
Caveats to consider:
- it’s very young, single author.
- write throughput: a clustered triple store in SQLite will never match Oxigraph on write-heavy workloads. It’s ideal for POC, maybe not MVP.
- single-writer reality: SQLite’s concurrency model applies; fine for edge/embedded, not for multi-writer server deployments.
