Databricks released a data model agent and 40 industry data models. Useful for exploration and proofs of concept, but data modeling is not just another dev task.
I quote: …iIt replaces the 6 to 36 month projects that hand-built silver models. To proof it they released 40 production-ready industry data models. Plus vibe coded UI and graph visualization (cytoscape-js). With turtle ontology and all.
An LLM persona (aka agent) isn’t a substitute for a domain expert, but I won’t repeat myself. I don’t think that data modeling is just another dev task. As a stepping stone to explore knowledge domains, as a basis for a POC, or just out of curiosity it’s worth checking out however.
