Many companies struggle with adopting RDF and ontologies.
Especially if you are on the LPG side, this is a tough one to crack.
I will be totally honest. There is a whole spectrum of solutions and whether RDF/OWL is right for you depends on various factors. I have seen home-made ontologies (in C#) on an API level, rule-based mechanics (in JavaScript), whatnot. Don’t get fooled by the current stream of ontological claims. Find something fitting your case.
YAML ontologies are, for instance, something more close to property graphs and a typical development stack. Sure, it’s not SHACL and reasoning out of the box, but don’t buy a formula 1 car unless you have a driver and team able to win the race.
